How can I be prepared to play Baldur’s Gate 3 on launch day on GeForce NOW?

Larian Studios noted that the game will be available starting at 8:00am PDT on August 3, 2023. NVIDIA will work to patch the game as soon as it is released. We anticipate having the game fully patched and ready to stream within a few hours of the game’s official launch.

 

For now, Larian Studios is recommending users take action to remove your Early Access saves and player profiles as they aren’t compatible with the release version of Baldur’s Gate 3. Leaving them in your save folders may in some fringe cases cause issues.

 

Please follow these steps before 8:00am PDT August 3, 2023 to ensure a smooth transition into the launch version of Baldur’s Gate 3.  This will ensure your saves are deleted from your computer as well as from the cloud.

 

1. Launch Baldur’s Gate 3 on GeForce NOW    

2. On the main menu, click Load Game.

3. Click through old campaigns and select Delete Campaign.  More details on how to do that are shown here.

4. Verify that you do not see any campaigns now on the Main Menu.

5. Do not start any new campaigns until the game is patched to the final release.

 

GeForce NOW users will not need to follow the other steps recommended by Larian Studios, which include uninstalling the game and removing mods.
