Why does GeForce NOW app IME text sometimes get entered incorrectly in-game?
For all GeForce NOW platforms which do not support text input via server-side keyboard layouts in a particular language and input method editor (IME) combination, we developed our own in-app IME.
This allows the user to type with their device's local IME, configured to their preferences, while playing games in GFN. This in-app IME takes advantage of standard Windows APIs to connect a user's local IME input and the game on GeForce NOW.
However, in some instances, a game's text fields do not support these Windows APIs which would allow the user's text to be inserted. Due to this limitation by the game, the user can experience unintended behavior, including no text being inserted, or text being replaced with a generic character such as "?" instead.
We are continuously trying to bring in improvements to GeForce NOW and will continue to investigate and improve on this issue.
