Every Max-Q laptop has a different cooling solution and different thermal characteristics engineered to not throttle even under intensive gaming or content creation usage. For optimal performance, check the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Make sure the vents on your notebook are not blocked as this will restrict air flow used to cool down your components. Remove any dust buildup that may accumulate along the air vents.
2. Update your notebook to the latest system BIOS available from your notebook manufacturer
3. If you are using a 3rd party notebook charger, test with the original OEM charger and verify the same performance results.
