I am a GeForce NOW Ultimate member connecting to an RTX 4080 gaming rig with more latency than I had when connecting to RTX 3080 gaming rigs. How can I fix this?
While we are rolling out new servers and upgrading our data centers, the closest server to you may not yet have RTX 4080 gaming rigs. As a result, you may be connected to a server that does have RTX 4080 gaming rigs, but is further away than what you typically use.
You have the option to connect to an RTX 3080 rig that’s closer to you by selecting it in GeForce NOW Settings > Server Location, providing you the low-latency experience you have grown accustomed to. Please visit the Server Status page and look for a data center near your city. For instance, if you live in San Jose, CA, the closest data center to you is US West.
You can identify the server you’re currently connected to by bringing up in-game streaming stats (Ctrl+N on PC/Chrome OS or Cmd+N on macOS) during a game session.
Members can see a full list of GeForce NOW RTX 4080 upgrades in progress on the Server Status page, and follow weekly status every GFN Thursday.?
